The list is impressive, with renowned companies, and benchmarks in each of their areas. Asmar, Aselsan, MBDA, SAAB, Unseenlabs, Airbus, Kewatec, DTS, Lloyd Register, UK Defence, National Defence Group, Hensoldt, SEAS, among other companies. With seven months to go, Exponaval is successfully continuing its marketing phase and in the last few days reached an extremely positive figure in the international context. It is the milestone of reaching 75% of its spaces sold. “We are very happy because it is a fair that has a great impact on the region and this has been demonstrated by the speed with which the spaces have been marketed. There is an installed enthusiasm and we have a great responsibility in concentrating the great moment of the industry in terms of technology and innovation,” says Rodrigo Bastidas, manager of the fair to be held from 3 to 6 December at the Passenger Terminal in Valparaiso, Chile, and organised by FISA, of the GL events Group, in conjunction with the Chilean Navy. The exhibition, which is aimed at international navies and exhibitors from the global defence, shipbuilding, technology, maritime, security and telecommunications industries, is expected to bring together more than 88 exhibiting companies, more than 35 participating countries and over 7,000 professional visitors. “The connection with different suppliers around the world and the direct contact between these suppliers and the navies is one of the greatest contributions of this type of event. Knowing their vision of the future in order to know how to invest in research and development and how to innovate according to the requirements they may have is extremely important in this global era,” says Rodrigo Lobo, general manager of Fisa. Exponaval 2024 will also feature an international congress with the participation of leading public authorities and experts of national and global renown, who will address the key issues for a comprehensive analysis of the new challenges of the naval and maritime-port industries. “This fair has become a great centre of analysis and debate that has been responding to the concerns and facts that impact the work of the naval and maritime industry, and that affect all countries,” said the Director General of the Navy Services, Rear Admiral Leonardo Chávez, during its launch. During April, the naval exhibition successfully participated in the International Air and Space Fair (FIDAE) 2024, which was held during the month of April in Santiago on the north side of the International Airport of Santiago, Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez. ”We are proud to continue to be a reference in FISA exhibitions and we are happy that our participation in FIDAE has been a success, closing deals and meeting with major international companies,” closed Rodrigo Bastidas.
