-For three days, at the Metropolitan Santiago convention center, the main challenges and opportunities that exist to face today’s medical problems, aimed at improving the wellbeing of the population, will be addressed. -The Minister and Honorary President of the meeting, Ximena Aguilera, defined the event as “a unique opportunity to learn about the latest trends and solutions in the field of health”. Santiago, September 07, 2023 – The most important international exhibition and congress of the health sector in Chile, Expo Hospital, will return this Tuesday, September 12, to the Metropolitan Santiago convention center, welcoming more than 4,500 professionals and executives from the private, academic and public sectors, where the problems and opportunities of the sector will be analyzed. The meeting organized by FISA, of the GL events Group, will bring together the entire industry to respond to the main challenges of the industry, presenting a commercial and strategic exhibition area of more than 2,000 square meters, with 80 national and international companies and brands, which will show the advances in services and specialized products for patient care, aimed at giving well-being to people. The event will be attended this year by the Minister of Health, Ximena Aguilera, who will be part of the meeting as Honorary President. “Expo Hospital offers a unique opportunity to learn about the latest trends and solutions in the field of healthcare. This space allows the development of relationships of proximity, bringing the institution closer to the communities it serves,” said the Secretary of State. It will also enable professionals and teams responsible for the areas of management, supply, logistics, patient care and attention from the public and private sectors to meet, strengthening the medical system and responding to the main problems in the field. The Deputy General Manager of FISA, Rodrigo Lobo, emphasized that “we are happy to show a high-level fair, taking into account various public and private institutions that will be able to learn about innovations for the future, and various panels in which they can exchange knowledge within the framework of the EISACH congress, a day in which leading national and international experts will participate”. EISACH CONGRESS PROGRAM The international congress will have 11 panels and more than 60 experts from America and Europe, which will take place over three days. It includes a program that will address the main topics of interest for the development of the sector, among them, Health Reform; Modernization of the State as a Provider; the Power of Public-Private Collaboration, Academia and Society; Health of the Future, Development of AI and Personalized Medicine; Innovation for Transformation; among others, facilitating collaboration and business networks between suppliers, clients and authorities that participate in an industry in constant movement and change. After the opening ceremony, the seminars will begin with the first panel “Health Reform, where are we?”, at 11:30 hrs, with the participation of the director of Fonasa, Camilo Cid; coordinator of the Health Reform of the Minsal, Bernardo Martorell; Executive Director of CENS, May Chomali; and the former Minister of Health, Jaime Mañalich. A complete analysis will be given on the main outlines of the proposal and the announcement of the government’s fiscal pact, which would mean a reduction in hospital waiting lists and more financing options for the people. Later, at 14:00 hrs, panel 2 “Modernization of the State provider” will be held, a space for analysis and discussion that will address access to health and efficiency in the use of resources, analyzing the fulfillment of the needs of the population. Finally, at 16:00 hrs, panel 3 “The power of public-private collaboration, academia and society” will begin, where the keys to a coordinated work will be presented, analyzing the options to make more efficient use of resources and support the needs of citizens, strengthening the medical system. In the current scenario and after the end of the covid-19 health alert in Chile, which ended with the mandatory use of masks, Expo Hospital hopes to contribute to rethink questions, complexities and new challenges, contributing to a debate and complete analysis of the different problems experienced by the sector. NEWS The Expo Hospital exhibition space will feature several market advances, such as Medical Market’s SonoScape ultrasound scanners, equipped with artificial intelligence; World Point’s infant mannequins with realistic limb movement and wireless monitor that provides CPR feedback; and Marsol’s biodigesters, which allow efficient and non-polluting kitchen waste management, transforming up to 1,000 wastes per day into organic matter, among others. This year, the event will have an extension called “Let’s Grow by Expo Hospital”, a place especially dedicated to SMEs and Start-ups, which will be vital for providing innovations in medical care and products that will offer a more personalized and patient-centered approach, seeking to contribute to the wellbeing of the population. Among the most outstanding ventures are Situ, the only platform that delivers all kinds of solutions and services to the elderly, helping with medical appointments and guidance with the support of geriatricians; Búho, the first platform that optimizes the purchase and dispensing of medicines, analyzing the most economical prices of each pharmacy, helping to save money for companies and individuals; and HUM, the only company that delivers a line of furniture on humanized vertical birth, in addition to items such as tactile breast for education and dolls of newborns with placenta, among others.
