16 panels, 60 speakers, a congress that covered the most important topics in the medical field and an exhibition that included the presence of more than 250 national and foreign brands. Expo Salud, Latam Health Summit, ended after three days in Metropolitan Santiago and its closing ceremony was attended by the former Undersecretary of Public Health, Paula Daza, who participated in the last panel of the meeting entitled “Quality and efficiency in healthcare: challenges and gaps”.
“Innovation and technology have played a relevant role and we have to see how we can continue to move forward”, said the doctor during her visit to the main international meeting of the health industry in Chile, which was in its twelfth version, and which showed the latest solutions in areas such as digital health, infrastructure and architecture, biomedicine and biotechnology, laboratories, pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, as well as technology and medical devices.
“I am grateful to Expo Salud for the invitation to participate in this very important discussion where we are talking about quality, efficiency and how to improve people’s health. Here we have seen people from the public sector, the private sector, the industry, and we are contributing to a challenge: to improve the health of our populations”, added Paula Daza after finishing her talk and after visiting the stands of the exhibition, organized by Fisa of the GL events Chile group, and which registered an active participation of large companies, suppliers of the sector, unions, universities, startups and public-private institutions, and their entire value chain.
The meeting brought together 3,024 visitors and 15 countries that showed their latest technological innovations, as well as visitors from all over Chile, including large public and private buyers.
“Expo Salud became the meeting point for key players in the healthcare industry and we were very pleased with the results, which leaves us very excited to tackle the 2025 edition. We had the presence of authorities, experts, guilds and members of delegations from hospitals and private clinics who visited us from various regions of Chile, as well as representatives from countries in America, Asia and Europe, and this presence enhanced the fair,” said Francisco Sotomayor, CEO of GL events Chile.
“In this new version of the congress, we wanted to contribute to rethinking questions, complexities and responding to the new challenges presented by Chile and the world, making possible a debate and analysis of the different problems experienced by the sector,” added Sotomayor.
The talks were also attended by senior medical authorities, representatives of companies and members of Parliament linked to the health sector, such as the deputy Tomás Lagomarsino – a general practitioner – and Senator Sergio Gahona, who is a midwife.
These interventions were recorded in their entirety and in the next few days will be posted on the Expo Salud platforms to relive each of the discussions held over the three days. On this occasion, the congress had absolute gender parity.
Between October 26 and 28, the VI exhibition and International Congress of Integral Security 2021 “Security Challenges for the XXI Century” will be held.
