The international fair will feature six pavilions, a main stage, and diverse cultural and entertainment activities aimed at all ages. The International Fair of Santiago (FISA), the first and only multisectorial event in the history of Chile, will return to the city of Santiago after 24 years, between November 16 and 20, 2022, estimating the arrival of more than 50 thousand people. During five days and in more than 60 thousand square meters, the fairground will gather through thematic pavilions the international presence of countries, national institutions, products manufactured in Chile, and spaces for sustainability and recycling, inviting children and adults to participate in sports and outdoor activities. All this in a framework of celebration accompanied by gastronomy and typical dances, entertainment, and a wide range of shows for all ages. This year FISA, as fair organizer, celebrates 60 years of history, and will resume the organization of the 38th Edition of the International Fair of Santiago, rescuing the spirit, history, culture, and presenting again a variety of activities and entertainment. The event expects to bring together more than 200 national and international exhibitors that will be divided into six pavilions: -International Pavilion, Hecho En Chile, Green Expo, Kidexpo, Outdoor Fest Zone, and Culinary World Sector. In addition, the exhibition will have spaces for activations, talks, demonstrations and a central stage with a program of shows about culture, dance, live music, and various shows for the entertainment of both adults and children. Fisa’s general manager, Francisco Sotomayor, emphasized that “in times in which Chilean families are seeking to reunite after two years of confinement as a result of the pandemic, we believe that the Fisa Fair presents the ideal platform for children, parents, cousins, grandparents, grandchildren, and grandchildren, grandparents, grandchildren and aunts and uncles can meet in one place where we can find technological innovations, entertainment for all ages, and thematic pavilions, including the Sustainability and Sustainability Pavilion, Chilean Entrepreneurs and Culinary World”. HISTORY The Santiago International Fair, organized by FISA, held its first edition in 1962 at the Cerrillos Park, in the Maipú district, replacing the Agricultural, Livestock and International Exposition that had been held since 1962, allowing for a wider range of products and services. Thus, it became the first and only multi-sector fair in the country, which had its last version in 1998. With the presence of the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, France, Japan, United Kingdom, among other countries, people of all ages learned about the main technological advances, electronic equipment, innovative toys, development of the automotive world, international gastronomy and latest trends, generating business between national and foreign companies, promoting exports, imports and investments, in times when Chile did not have an open economy. Thus, the FISA Fair became the main business center in Latin America, and was recognized as the country’s icon event.
The world of agriculture and food processing come together through technology and innovation in a unique space that is being held for the first time in Chile.
