25th version of the country's main real estate exhibition

Expo Vivienda ends with commercial success and companies celebrate the show’s role in the industry

Thursday 7 de December del 2023

For three days, the real estate industry gave a demonstration of strength and collaboration, and turned to one of the most essential events of this year: Expo Vivienda 2023, the most important fair of the sector, which was held for the first time at the Metropolitan Santiago events center. In the midst of an economic context that has shown signs of reactivation, for three days the exhibition became the main sales channel for the more than 190 projects offered by the companies (including houses, apartments and plots), and also served as a space for consultation and real estate advice. With that motivation and under that premise, more than 3 thousand people visited the fairgrounds and toured the more than 5,500 square meters of the fair, which also had free shuttle buses to access the place. “We are very happy because this Expo Vivienda fulfilled several objectives. The real estate world needed an instance that connected it to the final public at a massive level and that clearly happened. And the exhibitors themselves were very pleased, because they were able to channel business and the idea that the fair was an extraordinary showcase to find the best offers available was ratified. People were mobilized thanks to this aspect”, said Francisco Sotomayor, director of Fisa, organizer of the event. During the meeting, there were also a series of lectures on investments and financial education, with the participation of real estate experts and personalities linked to the economy such as Francisco Ackermann, Teodosio Cayo and Cristián Lecaros, together with representatives of financial institutions such as Banco Estado and Coopeuch, among others. “The reflection around the topics that the fair brings together is a very important upgrade for the complete experience of all our visitors. And in this version of Expo Vivienda we had presentations with a full house, which ratifies that the public needs instances where they can be informed and make the best decision before buying real estate”, added Francisco Sotomayor. From the companies that participated, satisfaction was generalized. “Commercially, we generated a lot of actions and we are very pleased with our participation. The market is opening up and for companies from the regions it was an excellent opportunity,” said Luis Felipe Braitwhaite, general manager of ONEWAITE real estate in the IX region. Carlos Verdugo, head of sales at Fundamenta real estate, also celebrated the space. “We were able to close reservations, make purchases with immediate delivery and prospect hundreds of clients. In addition, we found the venue very comfortable and the clients arrived very well informed, which is always positive because they know what they want. It was a very positive experience,” said Verdugo. Announcement by Banco Estado and the Treasury Expo Vivienda was also the perfect setting for Banco Estado to announce a significant reduction in mortgage rates, together with the Minister of Finance, Mario Marcel, for new or used homes, with or without subsidies. “What Banco Estado is announcing is a leadership initiative in the sense of having a mortgage credit offer with better conditions that can be combined”, said Minister Marcel, accompanied by the president of Banco Estado, Daniel Hojman, who assured that the initiative “will make it easier for the demand for new and used homes to materialize in a purchase”. After the success of this version, Fisa, organizer of the fair and part of the GL events group, confirmed that a new version of Expo Vivienda will be held in 2024. “The positive response from the public, exhibitors and sponsors invites us to repeat the experience and give continuity to this event, the most important in the real estate sector in Chile,” said executive director Francisco Sotomayor.
